| High Noon Records was established in 2006, but its
history dates back nearly ten years. Founded by James Akers
and Jason Innes, High Noon is the culmination and
continuation of their collective and individual musical
projects: past, present and future. The Past includes all works under countless pseudonyms of both Innes and Akers. To simplify, all of these works now fall under the name, Man with the Spinning Face, their last collaboration before they began work on their own material. There are hours of recordings and takes from fully produced songs to minimal, experimental noise. These recordings have been preserved, and over time some will be released. The Present is showcased by their return to collaborative work, now as The Divine Sham, leading off with their debut release, "Devil's Rope: New Explorations in Western Dub". The supporting cast includes a handful of bands/projects that each Innes and Akers have either invited into the fold or have been a part of - in many cases both. These include the Base Burners, Buck James & the Bullwhips, Dead End Ranch, Delvis, Phantom 309 and the John Dauber Trio as well as their individual projects: Innes as Sweet Alien Game; Akers as Poison Pickle. The Future will find High Noon Records dedicated to continually pursuing and releasing high quality sound recordings. The focus: building a catalog filled with deeply engaging audio and visual experiences. With ten bands now on its roster High Noon Records has developed into a fully-fledged musical apparatus. Look for many future releases, an extensive back catalog, and many hungry bands that make their homes here at the epicenter of one of North America's newest sound labs. Specializing in industrial, gothic, western dub, surf, rockabilly, electro, downtempo, psychedelic, garage rock, jazz and many other forms of music, the sun is rising at High Noon. __________________________________________________________ |
